9U - 15U Recreational League FAQ's
How much does it cost?
9u is $165 and includes a Dri-Fit Monticello Baseball shirt and hat with "M" logo.
10u - 15u is $200 and includes a Dri-Fit Monticello Baseball shirt and hat with "M" logo.
What equipment is needed?
Players will need to bring their glove, helmet and something to drink.
Bats, baseballs, training equipment, hat and jerseys are provided. It is recommended that players bring their own bat, but it's not required.
Baseball pants and cleats are recommended and will need to be purchased on your own. We recommend gray pants.
What are the different age levels?
The age levels are as follows.
9U, 10/11U, 12/13U and 14/15U
This aligns with the MYAS baseball league pitching and base distances.
This also gives 15 year old players the opportunity to play recreationally if they do not want to play VFW baseball.
When are practices and games?
9U & 10/11U will play games on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Practices are scheduled by the coaches on days other than game days.
12/13U & 14/15U can have games and practices on any night of the week and coaches will schedule those games.
Teams will typically practice 1 time per week.
The season runs from late April through mid to late July with a year end tournament.
Where are practices and games located?
Practices are located at fields around the city of Monticello.
Games are located in Monticello and the surrounding communities of Big Lake, Becker and Clear Lake.
Can I Request My Child Be With a Specific Player/Coach?
Below is the MBA Player/Coach Request Policy. Please follow the procedure if you would like to request a player or coach for your child's team. All requests are not guaranteed.
